He's #1

On January 6, 2020:

Earlier this week Trump again said he was #1 on Facebook. Seth Meyers said in his "A Closer Look" video:

You’re in the middle of a deadly pandemic and you’re bragging about how popular you are on Facebook.

Meyers then added that Trump has 28 million followers on Facebook while Barack Obama has 53 million.

Trump continued his bragging:

Metro (a UK publication)     03/30/2020:
President Trump caused outrage on Twitter after using the opportunity amid the crisis to brag about the viewership of his COVID-19 updates, with the US beginning to go into lockdown as more than 100,00 cases are confirmed in the country.

Following his latest tweet storm, pal Piers Morgan has clearly had enough, and said: “You know what, Mr President? Please stop this nonsense. I don’t want to hear that you’re a ratings hit. The reason you’re a ratings hit with your coronavirus briefings is because people are terrified because of the death count and infection rates are going through the roof in your country. ….. In fact, I don’t want you rating well on this crisis,” he added, “because it means people are dying.”

Addendum: Initially Trump thought being the public face of the daily White House briefings on the pandemic would come with an onslaught of criticism, people familiar with the matter said. But once he saw how much attention the vice president was receiving, Trump decided to start regularly leading the televised daily updates himself, these people said.
